Capsicum - 3 small or 2 medium
Onion - 2 chopped fine
Tomato - 3 chopped or can use tomato paste - 3 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Cashew paste - 1/4 cup
Cream - 2 tbsp ( optional)
Chilli Powder - 1 tbsp
Dhaniya powder - 1 tbsp
Garam masal powder - 1 tbsp
Jeera/cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
Cardamom - 2
Cinnamon - 1 small piece
Oil for frying

For the filling:-

Boiled and mashed potato -1
Paneer - grated 1/4 cup
Onion - very little chopped
Green chillies or chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt as needed.
( can also use some cooked green peas)

Cut the top of the capsicum and remove the inner portion.
In a bowl mix all the ingredients for the filling and stuff them in the inner portion of the capsicum.

Option 1:
Heat oil and place the capsicum upside down in a ladle(karandi) and slowly dip in hot oil. Do not leave them. Once it is fried and the masala does not fall off then turn the sides and fry. Remove and arrange them in a bowl.

Option 2:
If you do not want to fry the capsicum or find it difficult to turn...and mostly the capsicum that we get here are very big compared to the ones we get in India...so you either stuff the whole capsicum or cut in to half ( one cut from top to bottom) and stuff just like a bowl shape/cradle shape ..spray some oil on top and cook in the oven either under broil for 10 - 15 mts or under 350 degrees until the capsicum is cooked for 15 - 20 minutes...keep checking in between so it does not get burnt.

In a kadai melt butter or oil and add jeera, cardamom and cinnamon..next add onions and fry till they are golden brown...then add ginger garlic paste and saute for a minute. Add the tomatoes or tomato paste and cook till they are done. Now add all the masala powders and mix well. If needed add the cashew paste and some water and salt.Reduce flame...then cover and cook for 5 minutes till raw smell leaves. For double taste add some cream just before removing from stove. Pour this masala on top of capsicum. If needed can make four slits in the capsicum...so some of the masala enters inside.
